Sunday is Flag Day. On August 3, 1949 President Truman signed an Act of Congress designating June 14th of each year as National Flag Day.
After 9-11 the flag was visible on cars, trucks, bikes, 18-wheelers and homes. Small flags lined the streets of neighborhoods and highways. It was evident to all that our flag still had the power to bring people together with support, unity and pride for our country. Let’s not forget those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, as well as those fighting today, to make sure “Old Glory” continues to fly high. God bless the USA.
