The King

20161022_104707-1-1This statue of Elvis is located inside the Welcome Center in Memphis, TN. Pretty good likeness don’t you think? I vividly remember seeing him on the Ed Sullivan show and immediately became part of the Elvis phenomena. Parents thought his movements were way too provocative. Teenage girls though just the opposite…he was handsome, edgy, and oh how he could move those hips.

I, along with two of my girlfriends, got to see him on tour in June of 1975 at Memorial Auditorium in Dallas. A memorable night shared with the King.
