Ronny attended two Veteran’s Day Celebrations yesterday. We started the day off at Garrett’s elementary school. Each year they have a ceremony that recognizes those that have served in all branches of the military. Ronny has participated for the last four years and has been honored to be part of the amazing group of men and women who protect our freedom.
In the afternoon we attended a Veteran’s Day celebration at Jacob’s former middle school. Jacob was the first rifle ‘spinner’ from Sprayberry High School Navy JROTC to ever be invited to perform at a public event. I’m not sure who was more scared, us or him. The gun weighs 10 pounds so a mishap can have some very unpleasant consequences. But no worries…he did an amazing job. (His performance is at the end of the video.)
We are so proud that all of our grandchildren are being raised in homes that appreciate the sacrifices that our military men and women make for us each day. Please take a moment to remember them and pray for their safety.
