The Navy JROTC Nationals Academic, Athletic and Drill Championship was held in Pensacola, FL last weekend, and Sprayberry High School brought their A-game. They were 1st place in push-ups, 1st place in sit-ups, 1st place in the 100-yard run and 1st place overall in athletics. The announcer at the awards ceremony summed it up perfectly, “there’s speed and then there’s Sprayberry speed.”
Our grandson, Jacob, received a medal for 5th place in push-ups. Along with Cadets Texiera-Prates and Foreman, they now share the honor of ranking in the top 10 in the nation in their individual competitions. Congratulations cadets on an amazing year.
